The portuguese C/L members meet themselves by interest areas at workgroups. Each group develops research projects, educational projects for family doctors, and does bibliographical research.  There are groups of Cardiology, Depression, Dietetics, Elpilepsy, Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Psychogeriartrics, Psycho-Oncology, AIDS and Suicide.

Cardiology - To this group belong psychiatrits of Gaia Hospital Center that are working at Reabilitation Center of Cardiology Service.

 

Depression - This group is developing an Evaluation Model of Depression, and studying the Depression Incidence at Vertebro-Marrow Damage Patients, Hepatic Transplantation and General Care Patients.

 

Dietetics - This group is studying the relationship between anoretical and bulimic patients and their world.

 

Epilepsy - This group is studying the best treatments for epileptical patients with psychopathology.

 

Obstetrics/Gynaecology - The psychiatrits belonging to this group are working at Bissaia Barreto Maternity in Coimbra, in Obstetric Service, Gynaecology Service and Earlier Relationship Unit.

 

Psychogeriartrics - This group is studying, all over the country, the Portuguese Old Person Profile, in general health, Alzheimer's disease and depression. they have an educational program for general doctors, about earlier diagnose of dementia.

 

Psycho-oncology - They are studying the psychic factors in evolution of oncologic patient.

 

AIDS - They are doing psychopedagogical work with technicians and families, to teach them how to help these patients to suffer and die.

 

Suicide - This group is working with general and hospital doctors, to teach them how to work with persons that may commit suicide.
